- 3/24/2012: Every letter, email and phone call is a matter of public record. The more the City Council receives, the more reason we give them to move on this important issue. The city council is likely not to answer emails. If they do take the time to begin a dialog with you continue to communicate respectfully and with compelling challenging information. If you are in positive dialog with a council member please email us at justfixit@cox.net. We can assist you with critical points that give real leverage to your arguments.
This blog is designed for you to quickly communicate politically compelling scientifically accurate information about fluoridation directly to the San Diego City Council members. Send them powerful designer letters prepared by our members without need for extensive research. SAN DIEGO'S OWN DR. DAVID KENNEDY
David Kennedy was the head of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. His booming laugh suggests the presence of Santa Claus, a kindly Mayor or Star Ship captain.
Over time I learned this man has personally championed lawsuits to protect the public health from fluoridation and mercury poisoning from dental amalgam. The man is at this very moment literally fighting city hall on our behalf.
When was the last time you pulled out your wallet and wrote a big fat check to protect YOUR neighbor's health? (I thought so...me too) Well, Dr. Kennedy has done JUST THAT, and he has been doing it for decades. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Dr. David Kennedy.
How to support Dr. Kennedy:
1. Give him our undivided attention, watch his videos closely and make notes.
2. Fully educate yourself on fluoridation and mercury.
3. Give money to San Diegan's for Safe Drinking Water WWW.SDSDW.ORG
4. Support Dr. Kennedy with phone calls and letter writing campaigns to the City Council, Mayor's office, the City Manager's office and to First Five. Which we help you send directly from this blog.
5. Trust the scientific evidence he offers, even though we may not fully comprehend the depth and breadth of it, we must trust his conclusions.
6. Act upon the information he provides.
In the following video links Dr. Kennedy makes his own impression.

WHY DO WE HAVE TO FIGHT SO HARD AND WHY DON'T THEY LISTEN?
YOU ARE THE BOSS! NO, REALLY! YOU ARE THE BOSS!
Political change comes in two ways. Avalanches of citizen displeasure which invokes re-election panic in council members. This pressure is necessary to remind politicians who is in charge. As citizens we need to turn off our televisions (preferably put them in the trash bin) sit down and join the chorus of political voice at our computers where email and social networking are the epicenter of the new body politic. Active participation in the process has become compulsory. Fifteen minutes a week on this blog writing your own letter to one or all of the council members is all it takes. Forwarding this blog to everyone you know with a personal request they forward it on to their contacts is how this message "goes viral" along with linking articles to Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter can have a powerful effect. This effect is so powerful that we can end fluoridation in San Diego before the entire county is poisoned with fluorcilicic acid.
There is no such thing as pharmaceutical fluoride. It is simply too expensive. So they take industrial waste, industrial byproduct correctly termed "fluorcicilicic acid" that contains heavy metals, arsenic and other toxins and use it to fluoridate our water. In fact what they add to our water is only about twenty percent fluoride. The rest is a cocktail of other toxins. It is a method of disposing of industrial waste - believe it or not. And we pay for it.
Fluoridation is an old problem. Based in greed, deception it is a very old racket stretching back almost fifty years. It is a strange story. One you might reject as fiction. It is simply that bizarre. It is also a complicated story with many facets. I believe it is yet another story of deliberate inhumanity perpetrated by an over-confident government-corporate structure that would subdue human potential for position and profit.
It is the opinion of the blogger that we have bigger fish to fry. Fish like Monsanto, Bayer and Big Pharma. But for now we tackle more immediate threats like protecting innocent infants by immediately ending fluoridation of water in our home town. It is sad that we must focus our precious time and efforts on such foolishness but the dangers are real and people are being damaged each day we allow this to continue.
Please dedicate yourself to weekly letters, emails and phone calls to City Council members. Use your political muscle (if you have it) to persuade, influence and change the course of the future of countless people that might be, without our help, living in a very different future. Plant a seed every week by writing a letter. But more importantly involve family and friends in the protest. Set up call banks where someone calls a council members office every day. Build a relationship with one or two council members. Make an appointment to go see them. Sit and talk with them. They are just people.
Involve young people and teach them to be bold and fearless. It will prepare them for the world to come.
It feels good to create positive change. Personally, I picture the mother who might have mixed tap water with baby formula, preparing it with clean healthful water that does not require expensive fluoride removing filters.

What’s in our tap water? The Coast News
Commentary Jan 06, 2012
By Celia Kiewit,
Did you receive your New Year’s gift from the water district? In January we will be getting fluoride in our tap water! Great, it protects the children’s teeth from cavities. Or does it? I had one week’s worth of fluoride treatments when I was a kid and I have no cavities. Why then are so many people in San Diego spitting mad about this?

About San Dieagn's For Safe Drinking Water SDSDW
San Diegan's for Safe Drinking Water is a group that is led by Mr. Brian Baldwin. There is a steering committee that includes scientists, physicians and dentists who are well studied in the effects and science of fluoride. Notable members are Dr. Richard Saurheber, Dr. David Kennedy and Dr. David Banks. You will notice there is not "Donate" button on the website, but this does NOT mean the coalition does not accept donations. Please give generously at monthly meetings?
Description of SDSDW from their website:
Description of SDSDW from their website:
- "The San Diegans for Safe Drinking Water Coalition (SDSDW) is a collective body of individuals, including dentists, doctors, scientists, journalists, engineers, other professionals, and other members of the public at large who are opposed to the treatment of our water with toxic waste, fluosilicic acid for its fluoride, which would thereby overturn the voting will of the people, and city ordinance 67, and the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act, and provisions of the CA Health and Safety Codes of Jan., 2009."

City council email list. How to nicely fight fluoridation in San Diego
Here is how...
Dear SDSDW Members and concerned friends,
Last week we sent you a link to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website documenting the source of fluorine (fluoride) being added to San Diego’s tap water. This next video link (1 min :34) shows why the pollution “solution” is effective and profitable for the chemical/fertilizer companies. If you wanted to stop a cavity, would you have asked the SD City Council to start adding pollution-scrubber-waste to the municipal water supply?
http://www.naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=F8D48C0CFDB1973434B5998319E6981C
The situation is such that no one in San Diego was “asked” if they wanted this to happen. The City Council bypassed any public review/vote/referendum. Did the SD City Council realize that water fluoridation is a form of pollution control? Maybe or maybe not. Unfortunately, not enough people are speaking out about this 50-year dirty-little-“fluoride”-secret.
One of our members suggested we provide you with City Council’s contact information so here it is below. Remember, SDSDW stands for an INVESTIGATION i.e. what exactly is the European supplier – Brenntag Chemical Company adding to the water? Expressing anger directly at City Council is ineffective. Achieving an INVESTIGATION - is effective.
After all, you are paying for your water - so what exactly is being added? To fix this situation, SD City Council would use a simple majority (show-of-hands) and Industrial Fluoridation goes away almost immediately here in San Diego. Do not be fooled by CA “State Laws” because the city ordinances we have in place right now are written specifically to stop the larger, governmental over-reach.
Also, either directly or indirectly, the city is using tax dollars to fund their pollution control operation at your expense.
For any “green-minded” members of SDSDW, you could accurately point out to City Council that once these chemical additives go down the drain, the chemicals remain in our environment, agriculture (yes, your food too) and oceans. As the video above indicates, there are not many cost-effective ways to process these chemicals which is the unfortunate reason we find ourselves in this situation.
Every email and phone call you make to City Council becomes part of the public record. We don’t want to get mad, but we do want to get even – meaning it is our right that City Council INVESTIGATE. Every time you use your water at home the chemical companies and fertilizer companies make a little more profit. It does not matter if you drink bottled water or use a whole-house reverse-osmosis filtration system because you are still unknowingly recycling chemical pollution on behalf of the suppliers every time you turn on your tap.
The Metropolitan Water District is already being sued for “bait & switch” tactics but this is not enough to vote-out the industrial chemicals from your water supply. City Council needs to first raise the issue which will not happen unless we demand an INVESTIGATION and alert our friends, neighbors and loved-ones.
Thank you for reading this e-mail and passing on to others. For newer members of SDSDW these facts may seem completely unbelievable. After all, how could a City Council that is being paid to guard us against fraud and corrupt practices be so careless with our municipal water? They micromanage many aspects of Public Safety – fire, police, building codes etc. Why have they refused to investigate Brenntag Chemical Company?
As you have probably gathered by now, Industrial Fluoridation is not about “protecting children’s teeth” (there has never been a study relating the internal ingestion of fluorine to preventing cavities but we do know that fluorine ingestion does damage organs, bones, the pineal gland and the thyroid.). In conclusion, if you believe that San Diego City Council needs to investigate Industrial Fluoridation, there are many ways to communicate with them. Please let us know if you have made contact with any City Council members or need more information. We are greatly outnumbered and out-funded. In fact, we have no funding – we only have the facts and a conscious.
